Data problem : Manufacturer of Rice Bran oil wanted to solve the problem of purchasing raw material from various vendors as prices of raw materials fluctuate everyday

Main Objectives :

  1. Rank raw material suppliers based on various parameters, with the goal of saving manufacturing costs
  2. Rank customers based on various parameters, with the goal of increasing margins per sale

Impact Created :

  1. Ranked all the vendors on a daily time period (historically for 2 years) on the parameters of price, quality, quantity and delivery frequency
  2. Ranked all the customers based on a monthly time period (historically for 2 years) on the parameters of quantity, payment frequency, effective selling rate and purchase frequency
  3. Reports were standardized periodically to improve purchasing decisions and increase organizational communication and collaboration between the sales teams across different regions
  4. Data visualization projects were implemented monthly to improve analysis and decision-making of data that was originally in SAP
